In addition to completing a multi year Apprenticeship, every Artist and Staff Member here at The Golden Finch has passed a thorough Criminal Background Check, are certified in Bloodborne Pathogens Containment and receive updated OSHA accredited training every year!
All of our initial Piercing Jewelry is ASTM F-136 Implant Grade Titanium! We also offer certain piercings in Solid 14k Nickel-Free Gold for an additional fee✨
Cheap “surgical” steel is heavier, weaker and more suited to making kitchen knives than body jewelry.
Even 316L Steel can contain up to 10.5% Nickel leading to severe allergic reactions in sensitive skin!

We currently only offer solid 14k Gold jewelry as an initial piercing option on select piercings for a couple reasons:
*Not all piercings work well with gold. In certain piercings, gold can be just too soft to withstand daily wear.
*Some jewelry is just not available! Unfortunately jewelry companies have just not caught up with the times. They simply don’t make many of the lengths, thicknesses and styles of jewelry that we need for safe, long lasting piercings. We hope to continue to expand our gold offerings as more becomes available!
Our initial consultation helps us determine if the length of jewelry you need is available in 14k Gold!
Don’t worry; 75% of our clients are within the available size range 😉
And if you aren’t; don’t worry either! Our Implant Grade Titanium options are just as biocompatible!
At the time of your consultation we require a $50 Non Refundable Deposit to create your jewelry and set your piercing appointment. This deposit protects the time of our Clients, Artists and partner jewelers 💎
Certain fresh piercings like nostrils and ear cartilage just don’t like the motion and angle of hoops in those first few months 😢
Hoops large enough to allow for safe swelling are also more likely to get caught, migrate, or take an extra long time to heal!
